Why did you change the current ChemVIP system?
Celanese is installing a new global Operating System, SAP 4.7. ChemVIP is tightly integrated into the old SAP system and therefore had to be reconnected to the new SAP system. We also received many outstanding ideas from our customers for new features and enhancements to ChemVIP that we wanted to offer to you in the new system.

What happened to the regional web link to Log-on to my account on ChemVIP?
Since we now have one global SAP system, we no longer needed the customer to select their “Region of the World” to log onto the new ChemVIP system.

Why did my December Celanese Order Number Change in January?
An Order that was placed in the old Celanese SAP system in December, but did not ship until after January 1, 2004, had to be re-created in the new Celanese SAP system. Your Order now reflects the Order Number from the new Celanese SAP system.

Will the old ChemVIP system be available after January 1st?
You will have access to the old ChemVIP system for one year after January 1st 2004. In the new ChemVIP system, you will find a link that will log you directly into the old ChemVIP. This will give you access to all the orders that you placed with Celanese prior to January 1, 2004.

Do I need to get a new ChemVIP Login ID and Password?
No, your existing Login ID and Password will give you access to the new ChemVIP system. Simply click on the link to the Login page from the ChemVIP.com web site and enter your current Login ID and Password. Remember, they are both case sensitive!

What if I have forgotten my current ChemVIP Login ID and Password?
If you have lost or forgotten your password, or if your password has expired, simply call us at 800-344-2490 and we will reset your password for you.

Will I have the capability to still use my own Language?
Yes, ChemVIP still has multiple Language capabilities. You can also select or change your language preference from the User Info tab of the ChemVIP Main Menu.

What happened to the Green color scheme of the old ChemVIP system?
We are working to more closely integrate the look and feel of the new ChemVIP system with standard Celanese corporation colors.

Will Certificates of Analysis be available on-line?
Yes, Certificates of Analysis will be available for all shipments originating from any Celanese plant or terminal. These will be displayed to you as “pdf” documents on the web site that you can then print to your local printer.
